Join our Team as an Toyota Production System Intern!
The Role:
We’re seeking a motivated Toyota Production System (TPS) Intern to join our team in Summer 2027! This internship offers hands-on experience in industry where you’ll work on meaningful projects and gain insight into the Toyota Production System - a comprehensive manufacturing philosophy that focuses on eliminating waste, improving efficiency, and ensuring a high quality in the production process. You'll collaborate with the TPS and Weld departments, as well as mentors and leadership, building skills that will help launch your career!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Learning TPS Principles and Toyota's A3's (project planning)
- Project planning for Kaizen events, including collection KPI's, collecting data to support project planning events, and teaching Toyota Principles.
- Collaborating with manufacturing managers, supervisors, and production engineers.
- Learning PowerPoint presentation skills.
What We’re Looking For:
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology or related field
- Available for a full-time, onsite internship in Muscatine, IA from May - August 2027
