Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to guests.
• Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
• Assist with meal set-up and set or pre-set tables in dining room as assigned.
• Courteously wait on guests, make recommendations, up sell.
• Professionally serve food and beverages, check-in with and monitor guests’ experience throughout their visit to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Deliver food and beverages to rooms.
• Complete all side work (filling condiment containers, rolling silverware, stocking stations etc.).
• Assist with cleaning dining area. Wipe down and reset the table for the next guests.
• Assist with washing dishes in the kitchen.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness of restaurant/kitchen to DKN Hotels’ standards and all health codes at all times.
• Adhere to safety and food safety requirements.
• Report any missing/found articles, or damage to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department, restaurant and hotel.
• Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management
• Maintain the cleanliness and assure the sanitation of all plates, cups, glasses and kitchen utensils as necessary for daily service.
• Maintain cleanliness of all floor areas including the kitchen, lounge, employee break room and restrooms; and empty trashcans in restaurant, lounge, kitchen area and restrooms.
• Maintain supplies of paper towels, toilet paper and soap.
• Assist in cleaning and maintaining all kitchen surfaces including counters, shelves, walls and refrigerators to Pacifica Hotel Company standards and all health codes.
• Maintain cleanliness of back loading dock and dumpster area.
• Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department, restaurant and hotel.
• Deliver DKN’s "Home Away From Home" experience

Supervisory Responsibility:
None

Independent Judgment Used:
Only within the guidelines established by management and to the extent of operating within DKN Hotels’ policies and procedures.

Working Conditions/Environment:
Dining areas and kitchen including commercial dishwashing equipment and cleaning agents. Access to entire exterior and interior of property. Working outdoors in high heat, cold weather, rain and other elemental conditions around bees/insects etc.

Knowledge/Education/Experience:
Previous experience desirable.

Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements:
Must be able to communicate in English with guests, management and team members to their understanding. Ability to provide legible written communications. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Dependable.

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged walking and standing. Repetitive bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting and carrying. Reaching above, at and below shoulder level. Lifting and carrying unassisted up to 50 lbs. of bulk goods. Exposure to cleaning agents.
