Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Sports Administration, Business Administration, Marketing or Communications.
Minimum two to three years related experience (required).
Prior exposure to golf tournaments or sports event planning/operations (preferred).
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) proficiency (required)
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Ability to work in a team environment
Must take initiative in project management and problem solving
Capacity to address multiple tasks simultaneously and remain composed under pressure
Organization, attention to detail, and time management

Ability to communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, clients, vendors, and general public
Some medium lifting and labor is required
Confident, pro-active, creative, and collaborative style that integrates well within a team
Able to safely operate a utility vehicle such as, but not limited to, golf carts, utility carts, and shuttle carts.
Responsibilities
This position is the key contact person for all volunteer related administration and enquiries.
Always demonstrating a pro-active approach to the volunteer program, identifying issues, and striving to improve the delivery of the workforce and deliver best practices for the event.
Ensuring the effective development, delivery, and day to day maintenance of the volunteer online database and website. Day to day liaison with the R2 database point of contact. (Recruitment, application process, data entry)
Volunteer Communication – leading all communication channels including the creation and delivery of monthly update newsletters, volunteer appreciation events, post-event surveys, volunteer enquiries and general volunteer email monitoring
Maintaining an up to date and sound knowledge of all volunteer roles and ensuring requirements are met to deliver those roles
Responsible for the management and execution of volunteers training plans in consultation with tournament team and volunteer leadership.
Volunteer Package – ensure proper preparation, oversee distribution of volunteer package, work with ticketing team to provide proper credentials
Create and upkeep Volunteer Handbook to ensure volunteers are well informed of tournament information
Lead for recurring meetings with Division and Committee Chairs.
Volunteer headquarters – work with tournament team on setup and delivery of Volunteer HQ facility on site. Includes signage, supplies, and furniture needs.
Other related duties as required / directed by the Senior Tournament Services Manager or Executive Director.
Working with the Senior Tournament Services Manager and Executive Director, this position will provide support to tournament team in the delivery of tournament related special events.
Supervise, support and evaluate of Tournament Services Intern
Assist with client services including contract review, client communication, hospitality, credential fulfillment and special event coordination
Assist in arranging tournament orders including apparel, gifting, awards, supplies, etc.
Travel to and support other Championship Management tournaments to assist with pro-am, housing, transportation, hospitality, special events, honorary observer program, etc.
