What you will do

The Total Rewards Intern supports Compensation and Benefits operations through data management, process documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement activities. The role focuses on ensuring data accuracy, maintaining process documentation, identifying gaps and risks within existing processes, and supporting the alignment of Compensation and Benefits practices across the organization. The intern will partner with all HR functions and external vendors to improve operational efficiency and enhance the employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Compensation and Benefits teams in maintaining accurate employee and program data across HR systems and reporting tools.
  • Assist with the preparation, validation, analysis, and distribution of Compensation and Benefits reports, dashboards, and metrics.
  • Perform data audits and reconciliations to identify discrepancies, data quality issues, and process gaps.
  • Document existing Compensation and Benefits processes, workflows, controls, and responsibilities to ensure clear governance and knowledge management.
  • Identify opportunities for process simplification, standardization, automation, and operational improvements.
  • Track and monitor action items, process changes, and remediation activities across Total Rewards initiatives.
  • Support data collection and validation activities related to annual compensation reviews, salary structures, incentive plans, and benefit programs.
  • Assist with survey participation, benchmarking activities, and data submissions to external vendors and consulting partners.
  • Create and maintain reports, trackers, operating procedures, and process maps to support day-to-day operations.
  • Collaborate with HR functions and vendors to ensure data consistency and alignment across systems and processes.
  • Support the review and testing of system updates, configuration changes, and process enhancements impacting Compensation and Benefits programs.
  • Use analytics tools and reporting platforms to identify trends, highlight risks, and provide insights that support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with special projects, audits, compliance activities, and other Total Rewards initiatives as required.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • University student or recent graduate in a relevant field with 0-2 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools and business intelligence systems to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency in common computer applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, SharePoint and others.
  • English language - strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare formal presentations and facilitate discussions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines independently.
  • Understanding of confidentiality requirements related to sensitive employee and compensation information.

Desired Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated analytical aptitude with proficiency in Excel and a curiosity for data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a flair for storytelling through data to influence decision-making.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment, showing initiative in problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within diverse teams and communicate complex concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
