The Role

More About the Role:
Leidos is seeking a Tools Operator / Admin to support related efforts for SMIT, the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT), Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, the Leidos team will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.  The successful candidate will support day to day operational maintenance for solutions deployed to the NMCI network.

What You'll Get to Do:
•Deployment of solutions to Windows and RHEL environments.
•Participate in the planning of tool upgrades, replacement, configuration, and maintenance.
•Participate in new and existing IT modernization, expansion, and improvement projects related to tools and data for the NMCI network.
•Comply with ITSM processes and procedures.
•Comply with Cybersecurity requirements within the DoDI 8500.01 and DON 5239.
•Collaborate with technical experts to synthesize solutions related to tools and data.
•Develop and maintain processes, checklists, and procedures for tools and data.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
•Requires B.S. Degree and 8–12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6–10 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
•Five (5) or more years’ experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
•Must be a U.S. Citizen and ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
•Security+ Certification.
•Hands-on experience in working with DoD networks.
•Ability to multi-task, self-assign work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
•Motivated self-starter with ability to work in a matrix organization and communicate effectively with peers, subordinates and program leadership.
•Strong analytical, communication and troubleshooting skills that enable proactive and effective collaboration with a virtual team, including the ability to clearly articulate status and present to both customers and program leadership.
•Experience working in large information technology enterprise environments.
•Experience in collaborating with other enterprise technologists both internal and external to resolve complex technical issues.
•Willingness to travel to customer sites to perform tasks when necessary.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
•Experience working on DoD programs, specifically Navy programs.
•Experience developing SE artifacts in multiple systems development paradigms and methodologies.
•Experience and working knowledge of ITSM processes. 
•Experience with HP Service Manager and HP Asset Manager.
•Experience maintaining applications in Azure IaaS.
•Experience maintaining and patching Tomcat and Java.
•Experience with Microsoft SCOM.
•Experience with Aternity 12.x software.
•Experience maintaining and patching Microsoft Windows Servers.
•Experience maintaining and patching Oracle on RHEL / Windows.
•Experience with Red Hat version 6 or 8.
•Experience with Print Management solutions is a plus.
•Certifications: Azure AZ-104 and Azure AZ-900.

Pay Range:Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
