The Toolroom Supervisor oversees the daily operations of a commercial toolroom, maintains a safe work environment, engages with the tooling team to drive fast and effective tooling repairs, works with the tooling engineers to promote preventative maintenance best practices, and drives improvement projects aimed at streamlining workflow throughout the toolroom. The role supervises Toolmakers of all levels, Toolroom Operations Assistants, Hot Runner Technicians, as well as Preventative Maintenance Technicians.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive safety as our number one priority throughout the room
  • Supervise and lead daily toolroom operations to ensure that production demand is met and our customers are happy
  • Drive the team to support both commercial production as well as NPI projects by helping to drive mold repairs, mold maintenance and molding improvements
  • Drive cross-functional root cause investigations in coordination with Process Engineers, Quality engineers, Tooling Engineers, Toolmakers and Repair Technicians alike
  • Work with Workcell Managers and Tooling Engineers to establish tooling PM/repair priorities for the toolroom
  • Lead the team in driving continuous improvement projects to build robust tooling processes for maintenance and repair of our customers’ tools
  • Reinforce and ensure the use of cGMP procedures and documentation throughout our daily processes
  • Provide direction to tooling personnel to help educate and grow the team’s skillsets and better practices
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities pertaining to the operations of the toolroom as needed

The pay range for this role is $110,100 - $198,200. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
