Primary Purpose: To build and maintain dies, fixtures, and special machines for
Musco Manufacturing facilities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Be able to program & operate CAD/CAM software systems along with other lathes,
mills, grinders, etc.
Read blue prints
Operate & read measuring equipment such as Micrometers, optical comparators,
thread & plug gages to make sure parts produced are to print
Maintain blank dies
Maintain & repair machines as needed keep production equipment in good running
condition
Make recommendations for ordering the correct tooling & stock needed to produce
parts in a timely manor
Set up & repair other machinery throughout
Skills Required
- Program and operate CAD/CAM software systems
- Operate lathes, mills, grinders and other machine tools (CNC experience preferred)
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Use precision measuring equipment (micrometers, optical comparators, thread and plug gages)
- Maintain and repair dies and production machinery
- Recommend and order appropriate tooling and stock
- Set up and repair other machinery throughout facility
