Wieland is hiring a Tooling Specialist. The Tooling Specialist will be responsible for troubleshooting machines and supporting setups and changeovers. Tooling Specialist will also verify tooling and calibration devices are accordance to the standards. This role is located in Wheeling, IL and will be fully on-site.
Hourly Pay Range: $24.00 - $35.00
Work Schedule:
Friday: 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Saturday: 3:00 pm - 3:00 am
Sunday: 3:00 pm - 3:00 am
Monday: 3:00 pm - 11:00 am
Pay Schedule: Bi-Weekly

ResponsibilitiesTooling Specialist Responsibilities:
- Having EHS as top priority – creating/supporting an environment of safety excellence and promoting a safe environment for everyone.
- Troubleshooting machines to make them run properly
- Support on Changeovers and setups
- Verifying setups are in accordance with set standards.
- Prepare All Setups and Changeover Parts needed for a Changeover
- Prepare any calibration devices and mandrel assemblies when needed.
- Providing support on and understanding how to use measuring equipment.
- Maintaining tooling and parts between closed and open stocks.
- Provide support to Production and maintenance as needed
- Verifying drawings
Tooling Specialist Qualifications:
- High school diploma preferred and/or equivalent comprehensive experience in the field.
- Advanced English language skills, both spoken and written – Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Organized and detailed oriented
- Experience with measurement equipment
- Basic understanding of manufacturing and machining
- Knowledge of Low Fin process is a plus
- Understands how to read drawings and calculate values from them.
- Competent with computers
