Founded in 1958, we are the largest cutting tool reconditioning firm in North America. Openings are currently available in Sharonville, OH, Livonia, MI, and Dearborn, MI. Applicants will be considered for the location they select during the application process.
If you have:
- At least 3 years of machining experience
- Automotive experience a plus
- High temp alloy machining a plus
- Must have strong technical knowledge of cutting tools and cutting tool applications
- Process improvement experience
- Knowledge of cutting tool geometry
- Knowledge of cutting tool manufacturers
- Knowledge of the aerospace market a plus
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong mathematical skills
- Experience with multi-axis machine tool programing a plus
- Ability to interpret complex prints and models
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision
- Data analysis
A typical day may look like this:
- Ensure all tooling released to production meets customer’s requirements
- Routine, basic inspection of tooling
- Assist with tooling performance checks
- Works with engineers to determine tooling needs
- Troubleshooting of issues relating to product application
- Application support of new products
- Improve existing processes and applications by reviewing objectives and specifications
- Recommend changes and make modifications to tooling, applications and processes of machining as needed
- Continuous search for cost savings and productivity improvements.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Management
- 50% Sitting
- 40% Standing
- 10% Walking
- Lifting up to 40 lbs.
