As a Tooling Control Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting tooling shipments, inspections, calibration tracking, vendor coordination, tooling data management, and overall tooling readiness. This role play an important part in ensuring MST tooling is properly inspected, documented, maintained, shipped, and available to support MST events worldwide.
What you’ll do:
- Receive and verify tooling returns using company systems.
- Complete incoming inspections on returned tools to ensure they are in good working condition and free of damage.
- Receive and verify tooling shipments and complete outgoing inspections before tools are shipped to job sites.
- Confirm, document, and communicate tooling shipment requirements and expectations to appropriate team members.
- Ship MST tooling worldwide in support of MST events.
- Prepare, generate, and distribute tooling metrics reports as required.
- Compare shipping options and costs while identifying potential cost overruns.
- Provide MST product teams with pricing, scheduling, tracking, and delivery information.
- Respond to tooling shipment changes, delays, and inquiries from MST product teams and customers.
- Coordinate calibrated MST tooling, including contacting team members to return tools for calibration.
- Send tooling to external vendors for calibration and maintain calibration records in Salesforce.com.
- Coordinate damaged tooling notifications, repair quotes, vendor repairs, and tooling readiness.
- Procure MST tooling as needed, including obtaining vendor quotes and working with business units and vendors on purchases.
- Maintain accurate MST tooling data in Salesforce.com/SFDC.
- Coordinate documents in accordance with company, customer, and regulatory standards.
- Enter required information into internal and external systems and maintain electronic files.
- Support preparation of proposals, quotes, and presentations.
- Manage workload effectively while adapting to changing priorities and workplace demands.
- Respond to customer, internal organization, and sales force inquiries regarding order-related or service issues.
- Assist with the resolution of customer complaints.
- Observe and report any issues or concerns in support of company quality, environmental, and Safety Management System policies.
- Support additional projects as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of production management, inventory purchasing, and sales/marketing computer information systems.
- Working knowledge of PCs and Microsoft Office productivity software.
- Ability to adapt to changes in technology, including hardware and software.
- Knowledge of aviation products, engines, propellers, accessories, or related technical skills appropriate to the role.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted and up to 75 lbs. with assistance.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
- Must be available to be on call during evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to operate a forklift and obtain certification.
- Must be able to work independently for periods of time.
- Must be able to tolerate exposure to outside weather conditions.
- Must possess and maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Must be able to travel as required for tooling inventory and audits.
