POSITION SUMMARY
Tracks and maintains all company owned tooling and ground support equipment in each commercial MRO location.
Supervises day to day operations and employee management. Manages key support activities including but not limited
to tooling day to day management, storage, preventative maintenance, availability, and leasing programs.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
- KPI Development Internal Controls related to tooling and ground support equipment
- Visibilities related to the entire tool process from storage, management, and leasing
- Visibility for one time delivery of tooling to our operational team and performance metrics for stock outs
- Managment of tools being issued and returned
- Management of tooling delivery KPI’s
- Management of cycle counting KPI’s
- Personnel Management and Development
- Manage and document employees training, performance, and coaching opportunities
- Workload monitoring and visibility
- Output monitoring for customer satisfaction (internal or external)
- Development of personnel including personal development plans
- Communicate company policies and procedures to employees
- Employee Scheduling
- Responsible to manage all employee schedules and different shift rotations to support operational coverage.
- Lean Methodology and Continues Improvement
- Ability to schedule and develop strategies for improvement within all aspects of warehousing and tooling
- Create and manage roadmap for excellence strategies and goals
- Outside of the box thinking for system development and implementation plans
- Develop and Control standard work and training plans
- Inventory Management and Optimization
- Quarantine and bad from stock monitoring
- Inventory accuracy and cycle counting
- Shelf life and ESD Management
- Customer Interfacing
- Ensuring a high level of customer service is being delivered to our customers (internal and external)
- Clear and Professional Communication
- Tooling Management
- Ensure tooling and ground support equipment are being received and issued with quality and efficiency
- Ensure tooling is issued and returned in serviceable condition
- Ensure preventative maintenance inspections are assigned and complied with on all tooling
- Ensure damaged tools are repaired or replaced
- Manage tool leasing process with customers and operations
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education:
High School Diploma. Prefer BA or BS in Business Administration or Logistics/Supply Chain.
Experience:
- Minimum one-year experience preferably in Aerospace / Manufacturing environment.
- Experience in operational, technical and administrative management activities and or processes related to aircraft tooling and ground support equipment.
