Job Description Summary
As a Software Development Intern, you will support the development of digital solutions that improve engineering processes, data management, and 3D digital tools. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications, automation scripts, and database-driven tools that help streamline. You will work with engineering and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and develop practical software solutions. This position is ideal for students interested in software development, databases, process automation, and structured programming within a highly technical and collaborative environment. In this internship, you will gain hands-on experience in software development, database management, process automation, and 3D digital applications within an engineering environment. Roles and Responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of software applications, utilities, and scripts to automate engineering and product definition processes.
- Assist in the creation of tools that improve the generation, modification, and management of engineering data, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to identify opportunities for automation and digitalization.
- Contribute to software development activities including requirements analysis, coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and implementation.
- Help maintain and improve existing in-house applications built primarily on .NET technologies.
- Support database-related activities such as data extraction, storage, validation, querying, and reporting to ensure reliable access to engineering information.
- Participate in discussions and project reviews, presenting progress, findings, and solution proposals.
- Document developed solutions, user guides, and technical processes to support long-term sustainability and knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related field with at least 1.5 year to graduate.
- Foundational knowledge of programming logic, structured programming, object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
- Basic to intermediate programming skills in at least one language such as C#, Python, Java, or C++.
- Basic understanding of databases, including SQL queries, data organization, and data management concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and learning agility skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Interest in software development, process automation, and digital solutions for engineering applications.

- Familiarity with C# and .NET framework/application development.
- Exposure to database management systems such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Knowledge of structured programming and debugging techniques.
