- Setup and preset tools for production through the use of setup sheets and tooling drawings
- Use precision measuring instruments to inspect and measure tools for accuracy and compliance with technical drawings.
- Maintain detailed records of tool setups, adjustments, and inspections. Document tool performance and issues in data system.
- Perform cutting tool maintenance and simple repair.
- Assist in inventory control and replenishment for tooling and miscellaneous items.
- Distribution of materials in central stores.
- Completion of secondary school or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Proficient in the use of precision measurement tools.
- Good knowledge of metal cutting tools and understanding of CNC machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
