HS diploma or GED required.
At least 3 years of Machine Shop experience OR at least 2 years as a Tool Designer OR equivalent technical education and experience.
Experience with 3D printing is a plus
Quality conscious, mechanical aptitude, and good dexterity.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
Strong teamwork orientation and ability to collaborate effectively across various areas of the organization.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to travel internationally once per year.
As a Tool Designer, you will:
Creating 3D models and 2D schematics for custom manufacturing products like molds, fixtures, and tools using CAD software.
Partner with Manufacturing Engineers to support tooling design, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Selecting optimal materials for tool construction by evaluating durability, heat resistance, machinability, and cost.
Generating Bills of Materials (BOMs) to itemize every component, part number, and material required to build the designed tool.
Check, maintain, and control tool drawings and engineering documentation to ensure accuracy, usability, and configuration management.
Analyze production and tooling issues, recommending and implementing corrective solutions to improve performance and efficiency.
Assist in training / cross training of others.
Work with minimal supervision.
Perform other duties as assigned.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
