Essential Responsibilities
Responsible for defining the best Combine Cycle Plant upgrade solutions to fulfill customer KPIs during the ITO phase of a transaction on-time to the customer bid need dates.
Own and Manage the deliverables of the RAE team from techno-commercial stand point.
Strategic partner of the regional sales team and participate in regional sales/proposal strategy development
Own and develop holistic solution at a plant-wide level for complex and extended scope projects. Manage technical integration of the solution and manage interfaces for Extended Scope.
Lead the customer technical discussions and will be a single point of contact for the engineering.
Assess impact of performance and life of downstream equipment, because of GT upgrade.
Address all technical issues that will impact the ability of the GE supplied equipment to comply the customer/project requirements. Process Cost & Shipment Estimates to define scope, price and schedule impacts of all special, non-standard scope and options that are necessary to support the proposal. Provide in-depth, detailed comments and exceptions to the customer specifications to be included in the GE proposal document to the customer. Participate in customer technical clarification meetings as needed.
Provide technical direction for proposals based on agreements with Commercial Operations and interpretation of the upgrade requirements. Achieve agreement with Commercial Operations, Projects, etc. concerning scope of supply and internal responsibility for same
Ensure accurate plant/product definition, configuration, and equipment requirements that meet both customer and contractual requirements
Lead review of Technical Proposal and collaborate with deal team / commercial / PMO to handle the deviations
Initiate all required product and project technical requests to Engineering that require Engineering sign-off, using the tools appropriate for the information being requested
Champion LEAN principles and embrace LEAN, continuously challenge and take an active role in the continuous improvement of processes, procedures and deliverable in ITO engineering organization
Qualifications/Requirements
B.Tech/M.Tech Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering from Institute of repute
Minimum 15 years’ of experience in gas turbine-based power plant including system design, performance & cost evaluation, Project management etc.
Strong understanding of gas turbines upgrades offerings and its impact to steam turbine, generator and plant BOP and its upgrades.
Exposure to developing the solution and working on the complex / extended scope upgrade projects
Global mindset with a willingness to understand different cultures and work collaboratively
Direct customer interface experience
Effective time management skills & multitasking ability.
Excellent written & verbal communication and presentation skills
Desired Characteristics
Field experience on GE Vernova heavy duty Gas Turbines B/E /F / HA Technology
Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
