Job Description
Tekion is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Title Processing Specialist I to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our operations department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of vehicle titles.
Responsibilities:
- Review and verify title information for accuracy and negotiability.
- Process title reassignments and releases for sellers and buyers.
- Prepare and submit necessary paperwork, such as title applications, repossession affidavits, and correction affidavits.
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to client inquiries and resolving title issues.
- Collaborate with state DMV/BMV agencies to address title-related concerns.
- Monitor title aging to ensure timely processing and follow-up.
- Assess and determine appropriate outcomes for title release requests.
- Post charges and submit check requests for state work.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED and at least 3 years of experience in the auction/automobile industry or at a Department of Motor Vehicles (with a focus on title processing).
- OR a combination of education and experience, such as a degree/certification in a related field and up to 1 year of relevant experience.
- OR 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Proven experience in vehicle title processing and handling.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in typing and 10-key data entry.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to recognize title brands and other relevant notations.
