About the team and the role:

Tise is a leading second-hand marketplace with a mission to make buying and selling pre-loved items easy, inspiring, and accessible. Sustainability is central to everything we do, helping millions of users across the Nordics make more conscious choices every day. As part of eBay, Tise is entering an exciting new phase of growth, with opportunities to scale our product and technology even further.

Our Product, Design, Engineering, and Data & Machine Learning teams work closely together to build experiences that differentiate us in a competitive market. Based in Oslo, you will join a team of around 45 people across these fields and play a key role in crafting the future of the Tise product.

Reporting to the Chief Product Officer (CPO), the Head of Product Design will lead a skilled team of 4 Designers and develop the vision that supports our growth. This role will strengthen UX foundations, bring user insight into product decisions, and help build a cohesive, high-quality experience across multiple markets.

What you will accomplish:

  • Define and implement a clear UX vision, including principles, standards, and practices for building experiences that enable teams to deliver consistent, high-quality results.

  • Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering to develop a product experience that combines inspiration, commerce, and trust across the buyer and seller journey.

  • Bring user insights and product judgment into strategic decisions, helping teams focus on the highest-impact opportunities and customer problems.

  • Establish scalable design approaches, workflows, and systems that improve quality, consistency, and efficiency as the product grows.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product designers, encouraging an environment of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Support the growth of the design function through hiring, team development, and adoption of new tools and technologies, including AI-enabled build practices.

  • Define and guide localisation approaches that allow the product to scale across markets while maintaining a cohesive user experience.

What you will bring:

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Build, UX Build, or a related field, including experience leading and developing designers.

  • Experience designing and evolving consumer-facing digital products, ideally within marketplace, e-commerce, or similar environments.

  • Demonstrated success crafting cohesive user experiences for complex products and raising the quality of work related to product design across teams.

  • Experience addressing localisation challenges and designing products for multiple markets.

  • Strong product judgment with the ability to find opportunities, evaluate trade-offs, and guide teams toward effective solutions.

  • Ability to influence product direction and build alignment across partners through collaboration, communication, and expertise.

  • A structured and pragmatic approach to problem-solving, capable of bringing clarity to complex challenges and delivering meaningful outcomes.

  • Experience working across multiple markets and localisation challenges

  • Experience in fast-growing or scaling environments

  • Experience with premium, brand-driven, or content-led products
