The New York Red Bulls are one of 30 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS). RBNY, one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, have competed in the league since its founding in 1996. The Red Bulls play home matches at Sports Illustrated Stadium (SIS) in Harrison, New Jersey. The three-time MLS Supporters' Shield Winners are owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull for which the team is named. The New York Red Bulls offer one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, from local soccer partnerships across New York and New Jersey to Regional Development Schools and the Red Bulls Academy teams.

Position Summary

The Ticket Sales Specialist is directly responsible for all revenue goals associated with full season memberships and partial plans, also including group tickets and suites. This position requires a dynamic, professional, energetic, and creative sales professional with a successful selling track record (preferred) in collegiate, minor league and/or professional sports. This position represents one of the key functions within the framework of the Red Bulls franchise structure, responsible for helping the franchise meet its financial goals while delivering the highest levels of customer service. 

Job Description

  • Ability to sell a full menu of New York Red Bulls ticket plans including but not limited to Full Season Tickets, Partial Plans, Group Tickets, and Suites 
  • Meet and exceed established sales quotas on weekly, monthly, and yearly basis 
  • Exceed established expectations for outbound prospecting calls and meetings 
  • Sales will be driven through pro-active prospecting activities including, but not limited to, outbound telephone calls, emails, sales-related events and meetings, and other on-line/internet tools.   
  • Provide a positive customer experience by building long-lasting relationships, providing service and exceeding fan expectations 
  • Develop relationships, set face-to-face appointments (both externally and at Sports Illustrated Stadium) and show seats to potential customers with the objective to close new and renewal sales business. 

Qualifications

  • Sales experience is preferred, but not required 
  • Planning and project management skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Team player in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Salesforce a plus 
  • Comfort and experience working with various levels of staff and management 
  • Work varying schedules, including all Red Bulls home matches, some nights & weekends 

You will report to the Manager, Ticket Sales & Sales Academy

Additional Information

Because of the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, your assigned hours may vary to reflect our needs (includes nights and weekends).

The hourly rate for this position is $15.50/ hour. The hourly rate is subject to change and may be modified. Our current Benefits include: Comprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision Plans, 401k Match, Family Leave, PTO & Paid Holiday Schedule, Pet, Legal, and Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement (Benefits listed may vary depending on the nature of your employment and/or work location)
