The Opportunity

We are seeking a Threat Intelligence Lead to establish and mature a unified, enterprise-wide threat intelligence capability for TC Energy.

This role will connect cyber, physical, geopolitical, and operational intelligence to provide clear, actionable insight that protects TC Energy’s people, assets, operations, and reputation.

As a trusted advisor to Enterprise Security leadership, executives, and board-level stakeholders, the Threat Intelligence Lead will translate complex threat activity into business-relevant analysis, risk-informed recommendations, and timely decision support.

What you'll do

  • Define, govern, and mature the enterprise threat intelligence lifecycle, including Priority Intelligence Requirements, collection priorities, escalation paths, and reporting standards

  • Aggregate and assess cyber, physical, geopolitical, and operational threat information across Canada, the United States, and Mexico to produce finished intelligence focused on business impact and response options

  • Track threat actors, campaigns, tactics, techniques, and procedures impacting the energy sector, critical infrastructure, personnel, facilities, and digital environments

  • Translate complex threat signals into concise executive briefings, flash reports, threat landscape updates, and recommendations that support operational resilience and strategic planning

  • Facilitate alignment across Physical Security, Cyber Detection & Response, Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Communications, and regional teams to ensure a unified threat picture and coordinated response

  • Establish and maintain formal information-sharing relationships with government, law enforcement, industry associations, ISACs, vendors, and peer organizations to strengthen early-warning capability

  • Provide targeted intelligence assessments for executive travel, high-profile events, emerging incidents, and other situations requiring timely, risk-based security insight

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in threat intelligence, government or military intelligence, corporate security, cyber security, physical security, or a related risk discipline

  • Relevant university degree, technical certification, intelligence training,

  • A combination of education and relevant practical experience may be considered

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the intelligence lifecycle, structured analytic techniques, OSINT, threat actor profiling, indicator development, and finished intelligence production

  • Ability to analyze and connect cyber, physical, geopolitical, supply chain, and operational risks into a cohesive enterprise threat picture

  • Exceptional ability to translate complex technical and security information into clear “so what / now what” insights for senior leaders, executives, and non-technical audiences

  • Proven ability to define intelligence frameworks, develop reporting standards, guide program maturity, and influence decisions through risk-based recommendations

  • Experience using threat intelligence platforms, OSINT tools, case management systems, dashboards, and other intelligence or security technologies to manage collection, analysis, reporting, and dissemination

  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships across internal teams and external partners, including government, law enforcement, industry groups, vendors, and peer organizations

  • Experience supporting security, intelligence, resilience, or risk programs in the energy sector or another critical infrastructure environment is an asset

  • Bilingual capability in English and Spanish is considered a strong asset for supporting operations in Mexico
