About the thesis
Are you looking for a challenging engineering thesis project where you can work on real-life automation and robotics challenges? This assignment gives you the opportunity to develop, validate and improve innovative solutions within Movu Robotics.
Your challenge
Movu Robotics has 2 types of 4 way shuttles, "Movu atlas" and "Movu escala". Both products work in a very similar manner but handle load weights of a different order of magnitude (1500 kg vs 45 kg). The current designs have been developed by 2 separate design teams and therefore are inherently completely different.
What you will do
Starting from the current Atlas shuttle, scale down the design to the size and capacity of an Escala shuttle. The aim is to change as little as possible to the concept so that we have a 1 on 1 comparison between both in cost as well as in capabilities. It will also show where the limits of a concept lie and where we need to pivot and adjust.

A motivated thesis student with a hands-on mindset, strong problem-solving skills and an interest in industrial automation, robotics and product development.
