- Project Support & Troubleshooting:
- Perform thermal design and sizing of boilers, waste heat boilers, fired heaters, and heat exchangers in compliance with ASME, IBR, EN, TEMA, and API codes.
- Conduct circulation analysis, metal temperature calculations, and pressure drop calculations.
- Size piping, ducting, and fuel lines in adherence to relevant codes and standards.
- Select appropriate materials based on process conditions and design requirements.
- Create boiler data sheets, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Provide process data for instrumentation and coordinate with the engineering department for detailed drawings.
- Prepare piping and instrumentation diagrams for boiler systems and auxiliary circuits, including deaerator and boiler feedwater systems.
- Review customer specifications and document deviations for client/consultant discussions.
- Prepare and submit engineering documents, drawings, and reports to regulatory authorities or customers.
- Perform sizing calculations for bought-out items such as BFW pumps, fans, dosing systems, blowdown valves, safety valves, and soot blowers.
- Develop specifications and evaluate technical offers from vendors.
- Collaborate with vendors and consortium partners during technical meetings and HAZOP reviews.
- Conduct basic mechanical design of equipment as per applicable codes.
- Prepare a complete Bill of Materials (BOM) for the boiler package in coordination with relevant departments.
- Provide resolution for site-related issues during erection, commissioning, and performance guarantee stages.

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Expertise in thermal analysis, circulation analysis, and pressure drop calculations.
- Proficiency in PFD, P&ID creation, and process data preparation.
- Knowledge of materials selection for varied process conditions.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for client and vendor interaction.
- Team-oriented with an ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Experience
- Proven experience in thermal design and engineering of boilers, heat exchangers, and related equipment.
- Familiarity with industry codes such as ASME, IBR, EN, TEMA, and API.
Other Requirements
- Experience in technical evaluations, vendor management, and regulatory documentation.
- Familiarity with project lifecycle activities, including HAZOP reviews and site support.
