As a Therapeutic Recreation Director at Hastings Senior Health & Living, you will manage a small team of activities professionals, plan and conduct fun and exciting activities for our residents. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated with a genuine concern for our residents’ well-being and has a creative personality and positive attitude.
Position Type: Full-Time, benefits eligible position
Wage Range: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
Location: 930 West 16th Street, Hastings, MN 55033
We are located near the cities of Cottage Grove, Inver Grove Heights, South St. Paul, Rosemount, Woodbury and Prescott, Wisconsin.
Therapeutic Recreation Director Responsibilities:
- Manage small team of activities professionals.
- Ensure meaningful activities are scheduled and executed seven days a week.
- Encourage, support, and assist residents with activities.
- Display an attitude of courtesy and respect for all residents, families, and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 1+ year of experience working in an assisted living, independent, or long-term care environment preferred.
- Desire to work with the older adults required.
- Artistic and musical skills are a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and social skills are vital.
- Good customer service instincts will be important in interacting with family members and visitors.
- Engaging, enthusiastic, willing to learn, and overflowing with creativity to share in planning new activities
