Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Testing Lead to provide staff augmentation and subject matter expertise for a healthcare technology environment. This individual will lead testing activities across assigned projects, establish testing standards, coordinate resources, and help ensure that systems and solutions meet defined business, technical, and quality requirements.
The ideal candidate has experience leading enterprise-level testing efforts within a healthcare setting. Experience supporting Epic or other electronic health record initiatives is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of testing activities across assigned projects.
• Develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, scripts, scenarios, and supporting documentation.
• Define the testing scope, objectives, timelines, resource needs, and success criteria.
• Coordinate functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing.
• Partner with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and subject matter experts to validate requirements and expected outcomes.
• Provide testing subject matter expertise and recommend quality assurance best practices.
• Assign testing activities, monitor progress, and communicate status, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Manage defect identification, documentation, prioritization, tracking, retesting, and resolution.
• Facilitate defect review and testing status meetings with project stakeholders.
• Ensure testing activities follow established governance, quality, and documentation standards.
• Support test environment readiness, test data preparation, and coordination across integrated systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, tools, templates, and reporting.
• Provide clear testing metrics and readiness recommendations to project leadership.
• Support knowledge transfer and provide guidance to project team members as needed.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, healthcare administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading testing or quality assurance activities for complex technology projects.
• Experience developing test strategies, test plans, test cases, and defect management processes.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and quality assurance best practices.
• Experience coordinating testing across business, technical, and operational teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a staff augmentation or consulting environment.
• Ability to communicate testing risks and readiness clearly to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting healthcare information technology projects.
• Experience with Epic, electronic health record systems, or other clinical and revenue cycle applications.
• Experience leading integrated testing across multiple applications, interfaces, and stakeholder groups.
• Familiarity with public-sector healthcare environments.
• Experience supporting large-scale system implementations, upgrades, or optimization initiatives.
• Knowledge of test management and defect-tracking tool
