Description

Markon is seeking a Test Specialist to support the Naval Nuclear Laboratorys's A4WFleet Interactive Training Equipment (FITE). FITEs are high-fidelity simulation platforms used to develop and maintain the operational readiness skills of the deployed fleet.


NOTE: This role does require work to be done onsite at the West Mifflin, PA location regularly, but this position can be done remotely 10% of the time.

Responsibilities
  • Support the A4W FITE platform, and will cross-train to support the A1B FITEplatform.
  • Certify hardware and software based field changes prior to deployment tothe FITE sites.
  • Focus on plant operations and confirm FITE operational values.with expected plant response. Test Engineers also
  • Support other groups as they develop field changes as these groups leverage the Bettis located FITE preproduction units.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must have active DOE L clearance or a DoD Secret clearance to be considered.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology from an accredited college or university -

  • 6+ years of relevant experience.

  • Previous A4W qualification as Engineering Officer of the Watch (EOOW), Propulsion Plant Watch Officer (PPWO), or Engineering Watch Supervisor (EWS).

  • Semiannual travel to other NNPP sites

  • Ability to cross-train on the A1B platform - Ability to learn the simulation software platform.

  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments for all aspects of work with minimal direction from management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Travel:

  • Travel to CONUS locations is required semi-annually (or less than 10%).
Salary RangeUSD $128,000.00 - USD $145,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
