Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for execution of laboratory validation testing, inspection and data acquisition for use in the design and validation of products and services. Provide technical guidance for design and construction of test facilities, instrumentation systems and the development of test software
- Provide operational leadership for daily test facility activities to ensure high reliability, availability, and performance of aeroderivative units and supporting systems.
- Lead diagnostics, troubleshooting, and real-time technical response across mechanical, instrumentation, valve, and electrical systems, using operating data and inspection results to resolve issues and drive corrective action.
- Provide leadership for maintenance and outage planning and execution across aeroderivative engines, packages, and balance-of-plant systems to sustain operational readiness and reliability.
- Oversee key maintenance support activities, including inventory management, borescope inspection review, engine health assessment, and engine exchange coordination to ensure efficient maintenance execution.
- Utilized GE digital tools, including Mark VIe control systems, to monitor real-time equipment performance and identify potential mechanical failures.
- Led root cause analyses on equipment failures, implemented corrective actions, and optimized balance-of-plant equipment including cooling towers, pumps, instrument air systems, and fuel gas compressors.
- Champion EHS excellence by ensuring all mechanical activities comply with GE Vernova standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership for safe work execution during operation, outages, and maintenance through governance of LOTO and critical permit-to-work processes, including hot work, lifting, and confined space entry.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace or related) from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in power generation or aviation operations.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with aviation based gas turbines.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Brayton cycle thermodynamics, rotordynamics, and high-speed rotating equipment.
Desired Characteristics
- Familiarity with GE Mark VI e control systems and Woodward Governor controls.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and external contractors, including craft labor, during high-pressure outage windows.
- Ability to translate complex mechanical data into actionable reports for executive leadership and customers.
- Ability to support 24/7 operations and respond to emergency forced outages as needed.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $89,300.00 and $148,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
