As MECCA continues to grow and evolve our Core Technology landscape, we’re looking for an experienced Test Lead to join our team based at our Support Centre in Richmond, Victoria. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality technology outcomes across large-scale initiatives, while also supporting ongoing BAU releases.
Reporting to the Technology Delivery Manager, you will own and drive MECCA’s end-to-end testing strategy across complex programs and integrated systems. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role suited to someone who can set strategic direction while remaining actively engaged in execution within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
The Role You Could Play
Design, own and continuously evolve MECCA’s end-to-end test strategy across Core Technology initiatives
Lead and oversee testing across project and BAU releases, including system, integration and user acceptance testing
Establish and embed fit-for-purpose QA frameworks, standards and governance across the technology landscape
Actively contributes to test planning, risk assessment, defect management and release readiness activities, particularly across high-risk or complex initiatives
Champion automation and continuous improvement, driving increased test efficiency and coverage
Mentor and uplift QA capability across the Core Technology landscape, fostering a culture of quality and accountability
Partner closely with technology and business stakeholders to define clear acceptance criteria and ensure alignment of quality expectations
Identify opportunities for RPA implementation by assessing suitable business processes and supporting delivery governance in collaboration with relevant teams
What You Will Bring
To succeed in this role, you will be a seasoned testing professional with strong leadership capability and a delivery mindset. You will bring:
7+ years’ experience in QA/testing, including leadership of testing streams within large-scale enterprise programs
Demonstrated experience defining and implementing end-to-end test strategies across complex, integrated environments
Strong hands-on experience across system, integration, regression and UAT cycles, with the ability to balance strategic oversight and execution
Proven experience driving automation initiatives and improving testing maturity, including practical use of automation and API testing tools
Demonstrated hands-on experience with automation tools, Postman (API testing), Azure DevOps and Jira (test/work management), and SQL Server for data validation
Confidence operating in evolving environments where processes may still be maturing
Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence technology and business teams
Experience identifying opportunities for and supporting delivery of RPA solutions is highly desirable
