The Allegro team is united by a clear purpose—advancing technologies that make the world safer, more efficient, and more sustainable. With over 30 years of experience in semiconductor innovation, we bring that purpose to life across every part of the business—from breakthrough product development and customer success to how we show up for each other and the communities we serve.
As a leader within our PMEE (Product Maintenance and Equipment Engineering) team, you will drive the operational success of our production floor. You will have the opportunity to manage a skilled engineering and technical staff, ensuring that our high-tech testing equipment is sustained at peak performance. This role is central to Allegro’s "One Allegro" philosophy, as you will collaborate across departments to resolve quality issues, implement continuous improvement projects, and mentor the next generation of technical talent in a fast-paced semiconductor environment.
- Lead & Mentor: Supervise and direct a team of technicians and engineering staff, conducting monthly one-on-one performance reviews and identifying training needs to ensure high efficiency and skill growth.
- Manage Equipment Performance: Drive key metrics such as MTTR (Mean Time to Repair), MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) through the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Optimize Production Workflow: Prioritize "hot lots," balance manpower schedules for continuous support, and manage overtime to ensure production targets are met within budget.
- Ensure Quality & Compliance: Represent the team in 8D, MRB, and CAR (Corrective Action Request) meetings, ensuring all engineering activities adhere to standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Initiate at least one major improvement project annually focused on increasing yield, reducing downtime, or cost reduction, while maintaining 5S standards across all areas.
- Resource Management: Manage spare parts inventory based on historical data and equipment life cycles to prevent production delays.
- Educational Background: You are a graduate of an Engineering course, preferably in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Leadership Capability: A proven ability to assess team skills and delegate tasks effectively to the most appropriate individuals to ensure mission success.
- Analytical Problem-Solving: Experience in analyzing complex equipment or process problems and implementing documented corrective actions.
- Operational Discipline: Strong knowledge of manufacturing KPIs (Attendance, Utilization, Safety, Audit findings) and a methodical approach to meeting time-bounded goals.
- Collaborative Spirit: Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with other departments concerning test and setup-related issues.
