TEST ENGINEERING INTERN - JOB DESCRIPTION
Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)
In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain vocational experience through a china. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.
This role is contributing to the Electrification Products division in China (Greater China region). Main stakeholders are the Manufacturing Engineering Team, Product Development Teams, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain Management.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Collaborating with various engineering teams to support ABB's test product development, ensuring effective coordination and successful project completion within the defined timelines.
- Utilizing understanding of product field requirment, setup PLC system.ensuring successful project test.
- Seeking feedback and guidance from manager and team members to improve technical skills and professional development.
Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)
- Proficient in at least one brand of PLC products, with real project development experience. Experience with Siemens 1500 series PLC programming is a plus.
- Skilled in at least one IEC61131-3 programming language, with a strong command of ST and FBD languages being even better.
- Well-versed in Modbus protocol and its applications, with the ability to handle communication debugging.
- Familiar with at least one brand of industrial SCADA, HMI, or other upper-level control systems, with hands-on HMI programming experience being a plus.
- Familiar with other programming languages, such as C/C++/Python.
- Passionate about continuous learning, innovation, and contributing to sustainable engineering solutions in the electrification industry
- Advanced proficiency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory; Mandarin Chinese is highly desirable
