About the Role

As a Senior Test Engineer, you will play a key role in validating the performance, reliability, and audio quality of next‑generation professional amplifier products. You will develop and execute advanced test methodologies, define test strategies, and lead efforts to ensure our products meet the highest standards expected in the professional audio industry. This role requires an experienced engineer who can dive in immediately – bringing hands‑on expertise in audio measurement, DSP signal analysis, and automated testing.

What You Will Do

  • Develop, refine, and execute comprehensive test plans for professional audio amplifier subsystems, including gain structure, DSP blocks, limiters, EQ, compressors, filtering, delay algorithms, routing, and signal flow across complex architectures.
  • Perform advanced audio measurements using industry‑standard tools (Audio Precision, NI, etc.) to characterize and validate amplifier performance under real‑world and stress-test conditions.
  • Evaluate key audio metrics — THD+N, frequency response, SNR, latency, phase alignment, impulse response, dynamic range, distortion — ensuring products meet professional‑grade performance expectations.
  • Interpret system requirements and review technical specifications to identify test strategies, risks, and validation needs for final products across global engineering teams.
  • Design and implement automated test frameworks to validate firmware features, DSP configurations, and system‑level functionality for efficient, repeatable verification.
  • Operate and maintain high‑end lab instrumentation, including AC line power supplies, digital oscilloscopes, Audio Precision analyzers, and network analyzers, ensuring accurate and reliable test results.
  • Identify, document, and communicate defects across hardware, embedded firmware, and DSP algorithms, collaborating closely with cross‑disciplinary teams to drive timely resolution.
  • Partner with global firmware, software, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams to accelerate development cycles and deliver high‑performance audio amplifier products with exceptional reliability and consistency.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of manual Hardware testing experience.
  • High level of Electrical Engineering test skills including usage of various forms of test/measurement equipment.
  • Able to work closely with design engineers to execute lab tests
  • Ability to work in a team environment and meet project deadlines
  • Must be comfortable working in a global, matrixed organization.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Scripting experience in Python or other programming languages (C, Java, C++, Labview, Teststand, etc.)
  • Experience in consumer and professional audio and video.
  • Experience testing and working with high power electronics, & high-speed digital hardware
  • Familiar with hardware test automation tools
  • Knowledge of audio specific test hardware such as Audio Precision & audio networking protocols (Dante, AES67).

Salary Ranges:

$ 78,750 - $ 115,500
