About us
The next few years are going to be Dyson’s biggest and busiest yet. All thanks to a £2.5 billion commitment to its future technology pipeline. This growth will need the support of more new people across other functions around the world, including the Philippines. We have c. 6,000 engineers and scientists worldwide and we are now looking to recruit more in the Philippines. With this pace of growth, these ambitious plans, and the complexities of global expansion, it is natural that Dyson is now thinking about the best ways to organize itself globally and manage its exciting new product ranges to best effect. With APAC now our biggest growth region, we need to question where and how we invest to underpin the future. Our plans for the Philippines are ambitious and we are looking for talented people to join our Engineering families!
About the role
Test Engineer
Interrogate design specifications to formulate test procedures and acceptance criteria for product verification.
a. Ensure verification tests comply with relevant international standards (IEC, ASTM, QB/T, etc.).
b. Maintain strong knowledge of test environments and internal/external automated testing tools to ensure correct implementation of requirements.
c. Manage technology and test method transitions from the UK to SEA and within Dyson SEA facilities.
Design, develop, and validate prototype jigs, fixtures, and test apparatus—using analysis and/or CAD—to support method development.
a. Identify potential manufacturing risks, including process variation and supplier capability limitations.
Analyze test results, manage data, and interpret findings to drive reliable decisions, improve test methods, and enhance GRR performance using statistical techniques where appropriate.
Source, evaluate, and manage external laboratories to support verification plans when internal capability is unavailable.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with UK and SEA test teams to ensure robust and efficient execution of testing activities.
Collaborate with verification engineers and Operations to define, refine, and deploy test method processes and equipment.
Use reliability data to improve test methods and identify potential failure modes and performance risks.
Execute preventive maintenance and calibration of test equipment to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with method requirements.
Drive continuous improvement through automation, simplification, and the application of AI/ML and data analytics to enhance test method efficiency and capability.
Support investigation of test requirements for research projects, contributing to early development of a robust and efficient product verification strategy.
Collaborate with internal and external teams on postdevelopment activities, validating the effectiveness of design improvements and modifications.
Review and assess all project requirements to determine suitability for full verification or exploratory investigation.

What We Do
At Dyson we are focused on solving the problems that others have ignored; solving them first using our technology and ingenuity. In order to achieve this we need to pioneer technologies that are different and authentic. This is the core of what we do and who we are. We must strive to create the future, every single day by developing new things, different things, things that go against the grain with a diverse and global team of ingenious minds.
Dyson employs over 14,000 people and is present in more than 80 countries. And while we are growing fast we want Dyson to remain a start-up in spirit with the freedom of experimentation and learning, constantly reinventing our products as well as reinventing how we work, how we sell and how we support our owners. At the same time we are working through the James Dyson Foundation, James Dyson Award and Dyson Institute to inspire future engineers and pioneering a new approach to engineering education.
Underlining everything we do in this diverse environment is the need to always show respect, supporting each other as one team to overcome whatever challenges we encounter. We drive empowerment, development and equality in an inclusive environment for our people around the world.
The future doesn’t just happen, we look to make it happen, to achieve leaps through pioneering new ideas
