Department OverviewDepartment Description
This is a test engineering position supporting both NPI and test operation activities at Motorola Solutions contract manufacturer. This position requires to work closely with design engineering team as well as product engineering team to develop a factory test solution which later on consign to contract manufacturer to support production build. This position will also responsible to oversee test operation at contract manufacturer such as test quality, capacity and drive for continuous improvement to enhance process / build efficiency.
Job Description
Develop, debug and document all relevant test systems design including both test hardware and test software.
Responsible for the planning, implementation, releasing and monitoring of test systems capabilities in order to meet new fabrication plan requirement.
Support new product introduction (NPI), product transfer between facilities, sub-contracting projects, regional strategic projects and engineering change activities which include product testing and evaluations for all test engineering processes.
Participate in problem solving and improvement activities together with development, product and test engineering teams to achieve continuous improvements. DMAIC and statistical approach is applied throughout the project cycles.
Upgrade and improve test equipment usage in order to improve test systems performance, reliability and CP/CPK.
Work towards 6 sigma quality, total cycle time reduction and cost saving goals by improving test systems performance, throughput and flexibility so as to maximize production line utilization.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with minimum CGPA of 3.0
At least 3 years of working experience in the related field.
Good software programming skills, RF and digital background
Knowledge in Labview, TestStand, C/C++ programming language and oracle database is preferred
Ability to design and develop test capability from specification given
Analytical mind coupled with a systematic approach to problem-solving
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to work independently, self-motivated and well-organized.
Open minded and ever ready to accept challenges given
