Test Engineer

Amentum is now hiring for several Test Engineer (All Levels) – CSIA positions in support of the Cyber Security & Information Assurance (CSIA) Support Services office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and Ft Belvoir, VA. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment CSIA core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of CSIA and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within CSIA.

The candidate will work closely with the client to perform the following:

• Plans and administers environmental, operational, or performance tests on aeronautical, electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, general industrial, experimental, automotive equipment, industrial machinery and equipment, controls, and systems, and other products and systems.
• Designs and directs engineering and technical personnel in fabrication of testing and test-control apparatus and equipment.
• Coordinates and directs engineering activities concerned with the development, procurement installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices required to test, telemeter, record, and reduce test data.
• Determines conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations.
• Directs and exercises control over operational, functional, and performance phases of tests.
• Confers with scientific, engineering, and technical personnel to resolve testing problems, such as product or systems malfunctions, incomplete test data, and data interpretations considering such factors as conditions under which test was conducted and instrumentation, procedures, and phase of test used to obtain and record data.
• Analyzes and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by engineering and management personnel.
• Has experience working with developers, end users and organizations to create test plans and test scripts.
• Coordinates with test sites and other team participants to plan test events.
• Tracks problems and reports on errors that are identified. 
• Has experience with configuring necessary hardware and operating environments as needed to complete assigned testing.
• Has comprehensive technical expertise on IT products, operating systems, software, hardware, systems and networks and specialized environments.
• Has experience in writing or assisting in the development of test plans and test procedures.
• Manages the defect database under the guidance of senior QA engineers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline.
• 1-10+ years of experience
• 4 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
• Must have an Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a TOP SECRET Clearance. 

Compensation:

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $75,000 - $250,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.).
