Test Engineer

Essential Functions:

• Based at the Alps Alpine satellite office in Dublin OH.
• Responsible for the Infotainment product test on the test bench and in the vehicle. Vehicle tests may occur at the Dublin office, at the customer site, or road tests with the customer.
• Review of system requirements for testability.
• Perform system, end-user, black box, reproducibility, regression, exploratory, and fix verification testing on the bench and the road.
• Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic protocols
• Support software releases, flashing software upgrades, and feature verification.
• Derive Test cases from requirements documents; in addition, outside-the-box thinking will be necessary when generating test cases to cover scenarios not explicitly covered in the requirements documents. Manage selected requirements and test cases in the tool suite.
• Execute bench and vehicle level performance testing to defined requirements.
• Analysis of issues from the internal (e.g., project team) and external (OEM) testing operations.
• Make recommendations with evaluated risks, and timing to improve the system and components.

• Preparation, communication & discussion of the test results with the project team, if necessary, with management & OEM.
• Actively contribute to setting up and maintaining the test environment (e.g., SW tools, test benches).
• Knowledge of Honda development process and Milestones

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, computer science, or equivalent discipline
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Automotive Product Engineering and vehicle test activities.
• Strong technical communication skills, attention to detail
• Preferred: Japanese or Chinese language skills
