PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction has begun in May 2021 and first series of production to commence in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.

Job Description
1. Overall interface and responsible for all tester system and test program topics
2. Responsible for setting up complex test systems:
a) Minor changes on existing test program according to test specifications
b) release test program and test system according to release procedure
3. Responsible for assuring readiness according to specifications and definition of
maintenance and calibration plan. Also, secondary responsible to carry out the
maintenance and calibration.
4. Lead Tester and test program related trouble shooting, analysis, repair and
documentation of downtime root-cause incl. localization of failures on test system also
in combination with the complete testing unit, carries and products.
5. Instruction of operators (as per Work Instructions) and service team (for corrective
and preventive maintenance) in alignment with production management.
6. Contact and cooperate with test system supplier in case of complex issues and for
spare parts management
7. Cooperation in the simultaneous engineering teams, project teams, 8D team (also
lead teams) and hold lots dispose.
8. First contact person for test system suppliers and engineering as equipment owner
for all issues incl. appointments, technical discussions and questions, delivery dates.
9. Responsible for tester system related documents: Work instructions, troubleshooting
guides, release and maintenance guideline, process FMEA, control plan, etc.
10. Responsible for yield and test time target achievement and the improvement
11. Analysis of Test data and MES to derive and implement optimizations regarding
test time, yield and test depth
12. Think out of the box to develop new data analysis and artificial intelligence solution
for improvements.
13. Execute any other related duties assigned by immediate supervisor from time to
time.
Qualifications
- Professional 5 years in the field
- Bachelor in Electronic and Software Engineer
