Description of Task to be Performed:

AnaVation is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join our growing team and support an exciting, mission-critical work program. The selected candidate will develop and execute test plans and test cases; perform both manual and automated testing; identify, document, and track bugs and issues; and develop and maintain testing scripts and tools.

The Test Engineer will work as part of a high performing technical team alongside operational end-users to ensure the testing being performed meets operational requirements and to identify potential issues before they impact end-users.

This position is on site with our customer in Quantico, VA and cannot be supported remotely.

This position requires an active Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain SCI accesses with a CI polygraph.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This position is currently located in Quantico, VA, but will transition to Huntsville, Alabama before December 2027. Relocation assistance is available. We are also open to Huntsville-based candidates who wish to TDY to the Quantico area between now and the move date. This position is on site with our government customer and cannot be supported remotely. Applicants should address their willingness to relocate to Huntsville in their resume or cover letter.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer and Information Security, Computer Security, Computer Forensics, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or related field. Relevant training, certifications, and work experience may be accepted in lieu of degree at the customer’s discretion.
  • Experience:
  • 3 years of relevant work experience performing software testing (manual and automated).
  • Experience programming in Python, scripting, and/or using Python for automated test pipelines.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing test plans.
  • Experience developing and maintaining testing scripts and tools.
  • Active Top-Secret clearance and the ability to obtain SCI access with a CI polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of mobile and desktop operating systems.
  • Knowledge of DevOps best practices.
  • Experience with forensic analysis a plus.
