Job summary:

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Test Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

The Test Engineer role involves responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems, software, and/or equipment. 

What a typical day looks like:

• KOIS review and implementation of action items.
• Data analysis and follow-up to provide solutions or improvements.
• Participation in CFT meetings; ensuring adherence to the production plan.
• Validation of capacity, yield, and PNL.
• Training, preventive maintenance review.
• Coordination/supervision of technicians (test stations).

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Intermediate-Advanced English.
• Knowledge of electrical testing at the board level (PCBA) and box level (electronic assembly or sub-assembly): in-circuit, functional, and hipot testing.
• Experience diagnosing electrical faults in functional tests at the board level (PCBA) and in electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• Experience with manufacturing projects involving the production and testing of products such as power supplies, batteries, or computer servers.
• Experience using electrical test instruments such as power supplies and electronic loads. Experience integrating and installing electrical test equipment; experience providing technical support for electronic assembly production lines.
• Experience carrying out improvement activities such as reducing false failures, minimizing equipment downtime, improving test yields, and reducing the inventory of units undergoing diagnosis.
• Experience in data collection and statistical analysis to drive continuous improvement activities for the project.
• Knowledge of PCBA electrical testing.
• Experience with Python, LabVIEW, Test Stand, and Power Pro. (nice to have)
