Description

 Position Summary

This role owns end-to-end manufacturing test strategy and execution for electro-mechanical and electro-optical products in both New Product Introduction (NPI) and product transition environments. The engineer ensures complete test coverage from component through system acceptance, leads the transfer and setup of test assets into manufacturing, and provides hands-on support to production to improve yield, efficiency, and technical accuracy.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the development, transfer, and installation of test platforms, procedures, and assets into manufacturing for new and legacy products.

• Coordinate relocation and sustainment of test capabilities for transitioned and legacy programs across manufacturing sites.

• Develop, author, and update Test Specifications, Test Requirements, and Test Procedures. Reverse engineer legacy documentation where required to ensure completeness and accuracy.

• Review technical data packages (drawings, procedures, work instructions, test documentation) and close gaps that impact manufacturability and test integrity.

• Provide daily production test support including failure analysis, yield improvement, test efficiency, and procedure refinement.

• Support manufacturing floor activities including engineering changes, material disposition, and resolution of test and process issues.

• Estimate labor and equipment costs and contribute to cost-reduction and efficiency initiatives.

• Maintain test assets, equipment readiness, and a safe, compliant working environment.

• Ensure quality and accuracy of work while maintaining technical proficiency through ongoing training.
