Test Engineer Sr

As a Test Engineer Sr. you will work with a team of developers and testers to convert requirements into highly visible applications by applying experience in application test design as well as manual and automated test execution. In addition, you will work alongside the scrum master and product owner in an agile-based team environment to ensure quality at every stage in the software development life cycle. 

This role is responsible for leading test strategy and execution for complex software solutions across functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing areas. The Senior Test Engineer reviews application, hardware, software, and network architecture to define effective test approaches, design complex test plans and test scripts, execute manual and automated tests, document results, and analyze outcomes. This role works with test and defect management tools, automation frameworks, and scripting languages to support high-quality delivery. In addition, the role requires a strong understanding of business and technical requirements, and the ability to design, develop, maintain, and optimize automated and manual test suites based on project and customer needs. Depending on the project's scope, this role may also provide technical guidance to other testers and help drive testing best practices across the team.

This is an experienced-level position responsible for reviewing and analyzing the overall architecture of complex hardware, software, and network systems to ensure appropriate test coverage and product quality. The role develops detailed test plans and test scripts, executes automated and manual tests, documents results, analyzes outcomes, performs root cause analysis, and communicates findings to relevant stakeholders.

We are looking for a Test Engineer Sr who will:

• Analyze user requirements as well as product architecture/design to derive testing requirements
• Participates in Agile and DevOps activities, including planning, reviews, daily stand-ups, demonstrations, retrospectives, and corrective action efforts.
• Be expected to quickly learn new products and existing applications and may provide training and documentation to other team members, as required.
• Perform automated and manual testing across functional applications, regression, and integration of testing areas. It works closely with application, systems, and networking teams to support timely issue identification and resolution. In addition, the role develops a strong understanding of feature requirements, business needs, and system usage to support effective test design and execution.
• Design and author test cases for functional and non-functional testing 
• Facilitate creation and execution of automated tests\test suites 
• Write and execute automated and manual tests as needed 
• Utilize innovative test technologies to develop test strategy 
• Assist in assessing product quality and release readiness 
• Keep Agile team informed of delays in testing activities or problems arising from variances 
• Be able to communicate the English language proficiently in a business environment 

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who:

• A degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
• Has 3 + years’ experience in software testing
• Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to decompose complex problems and perform root cause analyses 
• Has hands-on software testing or development experience on Linux and Windows OS 
• Is a self-motivated team player with an interest in continuous learning 
• Has a solid understanding of testing methodologies and principles 
• Has a clear understanding of Object-Oriented Language - Python or C# .NET 
• Is knowledge of database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, etc. 
• Has experience with automation tools such as UFT, Coded UI or other test framework 
• Has experience with CI/CD Tools such as Jenkins 
• Has experience using Defect tracking tools
