PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction has begun in May 2021 and first series of production to commence in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.

Job Overview
- To ensure mass-production capability for trimming and final test of inertial sensors.
- Ensure achievement of unscheduled downtime targets.
- To improve test efficiency, yield and reduce unscheduled downtimes of the equipment.
- To ensure achievement of quality, cost and delivery targets of the products regarding test & trim
What you'll do
- To setup complex test systems, sensor stimulus and test SW solution based on PAV provided by simultaneous engineering team or project team:
- Update existing test program according to PAV an Lead Plant Instructions
- release test program and test system according to release procedures
- Analysis of downtime reasons of the test equipment and instruction of service
- Ensure spare parts availability
- Contact to the test equipment supplier and cooperation with supplier in case of complex issues
- Analysis of carrier issues and instruction of the service
- Analysis of issues related to product and test system combinations
- Cooperation in the simultaneous engineering teams and project teams
- Responsible for target yield achievement regarding test related issues
- Responsible for achievement of target test times. Reporting of KPIs regarding testing. Responsible for plant specific process documents.
- To guide and coach operators, service and other production employees
- Test data and MES analysis to derive and to implement optimizations regarding test time, yield and test depth
- Coordinate tester, test SW and test HW changes
- Experience in electrical contacting of semi devices and mechanical device handling
Qualifications
What you'll need to succeed in this role
- Minimum 5 to 10 years working experience in the related field of semiconductor test
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Software
- Good communication skills
- Able to work in a team for transferring technical known how
- Able to source off the shelf solution to meet production testing needs
- Able to analyse production/test problems and to resolve them
- Able to unterstand different programming languages
- Able to lead technical discussion together with product design team
- Able to lead a team of engineers in designing new test solution
- Able to instruct operators in how to fulfil their tasks
- Able to implement lean processes
- Able to determine cost saving potential
- Able to understand the correlations quality, cost and delivery
- Readiness to reduce Co2 according to company target
- Open for business trip and able to travel to China and Germany for training
