Test Engineer RF Production Test Systems (m/f/d) for Wireless and Embedded Products

Job Summary:

Designs, develops, installs and maintains test software applications, equipment, and tools used both in the production and engineering service areas. Also provides third-tier troubleshooting support, repairs and integrates electronic assemblies and subassemblies of complex embedded computer systems.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Designs and develops software applications and automation in support of manufacturing and engineering services.
• Provides input during engineering design and support reviews and prototype builds on functional requirements, product designs and potential issues as it relates to testing and manufacturing.
• Collaborates with design engineering and customer operations to establish new or redesign existing service programs.
• Ensures product meets internal and external quality requirements and customer specifications.
• Creates support and repair procedures and processes, writes troubleshooting guides and develops testing techniques.
• Trains operations personnel on support and manufacturing processes, product schematics, Approved Vendor Lists (AVL), Bill of Materials (BOM) drivers, applications and firmware functions.
• Compiles and maintains test-related documentation including test plans, procedures, results and reports.
• Identifies, investigates, and participates in opportunities to improve processes and procedures, to include various key performance metrics.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Level Specifications:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Technical Computer Science, or a related field.
• Solid experience in RF and embedded hardware development, including understanding of RF design principles.
• Proven proficiency in test design and automation tools (e.g. Agilent ADS, Keysight VEE, LabVIEW, Visual Studio, Python).
• Hands-on experience with measurement and test equipment (e.g. network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, protocol tester).
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and certification processes (ETSI, FCC, CE, RED, PTCRB).
• Basic knowledge of embedded firmware and hardware interfaces (e.g. SPI, I²C, PCIe, UART) is an advantage.
• Experience with DFM/DFT and structured development processes is beneficial.
• Analytical and structured working style with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken

• Typically 3+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.

Education and Certification(s):

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

• May be required to travel.
