There is now an open position for a QA Test Engineer with location and workplace at Axis' HQ in Lund, Sweden.

AXIS OS Release Test team is a highly skilled and motivated team with a mix of both junior and senior team members. Our strength lies not only in the individual competence of each team member but also in the open working environment and strong, prestige less collaboration within our team.  

 
AXIS OS Release Test is part of the R&D Quality Assurance organization. QA consists of a total of 20 teams spread across five departments. Currently, we are over 300 people, making us one of the largest test organizations in the region. We are closely knit both within the team and the department, with high ambitions to regularly improve our working methods and testing processes.

Your Role as a Test Engineer  

As a Test Engineer, your curiosity, and your aim to improve quality, will be your greatest assets. Your role is crucial in maintaining the software’s quality and can greatly improve user satisfaction. A career as a Test Engineer offers a blend of technical challenge and creative problem-solving.

We value your ability to bring energy and a positive attitude. This role places demands on your communication skills. As a Test Engineer in AXIS OS Release Test you will collaborate with colleagues and work in a field constantly evolving and providing continuous learning opportunities.

Main tasks include: 

• Execution of scripted test cases, exploratory testing, and semi-automatic scripts and systems.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting in various test systems.
• Troubleshooting and defect reporting.  
• Development of test cases, methods, and processes as well as test environments.

Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is curious and passionate about testing and quality. You take initiatives and try to find new ways to improve. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and are easy to work with, then this is the opportunity for you.

We'd love to hear that you have:   

• A Master of Science in Engineering, a Bachelor of science in Engineering, a System Scientist or equivalent.   
• Interest and experience in testing.
• A positive attitude and the ability to build relationships across teams.
   

It's a plus if you also have experience with one or more of the following:  

• Jenkins (or similar servers) and Git (or similar version control system).
• Development of scripting and test environments, primarily in Python.
• Automation of already scripted and new test cases.
