Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Test Engineer – Level 2 to join our team in Chandler, AZ.
This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. Relocation assistance is not available.
The primary area of concentration for our Test Engineer will be in the cable test cell interpreting acceptance test procedures and determining the test requirements for harness assemblies. This role will also be responsible for developing Excel based data collection forms that are part / dash number specific.
The Successful Candidate:
Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment.
Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.
Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed.
Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.
Is responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 0 years of professional experience.
Experience with Cable Test procedures
Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems Costpoint (MES)
Comfortable with basic multimeter, power supplies, and automated test equipment
Strong Excel background
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
Experience or exposure to avionics production, testing, and vehicle launch operations experience
Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
