Core Job Responsibilities
- Work and interact with a wide variety of NI staff in R&D software and hardware organizations, as well as employees from other business groups, in Austin, Texas, Debrecen, Hungary and Penang, Malaysia.
- Validate automated test solutions (using Gage R & R, as well as other methods) for the manufacture of test and measurements instruments and hold required reviews to assure test system readiness for product release.
- Full ownership of test solutions after deployment on production floor. Ensure test solutions owned are in good condition and readily available for NI Operations and Services.
- Act as liaison between Research and Development Teams and Manufacturing Operations Organization to provide potential corrective actions and feedback based on root cause determinations.
- Perform advanced unit, integration, and systems verification and validation testing using HW/SW tools. Review others testing methodologies and algorithms or hardware to ensure optimal test cases as needed.
- Work closely with other project team members as needed to ensure the final combined product has compatible software, electronic hardware, and mechanical hardware which functions properly together and performs at levels specified in the product specifications.
- Manage the new technology transfer for new products from R&D to manufacturing.
- Transfer test systems between manufacturing sites to support the NI product manufacturing strategy.
Education
Degree in Electronics/ Electrical/ Telecommunication/ Instrumentation/Mechatronics or equivalent from an accredited engineering program.
Experience
<2 years working experience in a multinational electronic-manufacturing environment. Fresh graduates are welcomed.
Possess good interpersonal skills, relationship management skills and the ability to gain cross-functional support to meet objectives
Understanding of schematics, hardware and software analysis
SPC knowledge is an added advantage.
Skills
Experience/knowledge working with automated test suites required, Labview, Teststand, C/C++
RF knowledge would be preferred
Work effectively in a group development environment
Ability and adaptability for fast changing environment.
Can clearly/concisely communicate in English, ability use multiple modes of communication (i.e. presentations)
Problem-solve effectively – diagnose technical issues and propose reasonable solutions
