The Test Engineer II is an experienced professional responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans and strategies to ensure the quality and reliability of software, hardware, or other products. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must possess appropriate level of certifications for this position as required by the contract  

 

The ability to obtain, maintain and access classified information at the Secret level.  

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the followingOther duties may be assigned. 

 

Develops and executes comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements. 

 

Conducts functional, regression, performance, and security testing on software applications. 

 

Identifies and reports defects or issues found during testing and track them to resolution. 

 

Collaborates with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve any issues. 

 

Participates in test plan reviews and provide feedback for improvements. 

 

Develops and maintain automated test scripts using testing tools. 

 

Conducts compatibility testing on different platforms, browsers, and devices. 

 

Performs root cause analysis of defects and provide recommendations for improvement. 

 

Mentors junior test engineers and provide guidance on testing best practices. 

 

Stays updated with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and technologies. 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

Bachelors degree and two to four (2-4) years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education/experience. 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusExposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
