• As a Test Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of the Network Services Automation team based in Pune.  We are a new team with seriously big ambitions.  You’ll help us achieve our goal of network automation which will allow faster time to market, reduce operational costs and increase productivity.

Your key responsibilities

• Design test plans, engineer test cases, build procedures, scenarios and scripts to accurately assess new products or software updates according to user requirements.
• Develop testing protocol for various aspects such as usability, database impact, error and bug finding, regression testing, and implementation scenarios.
• Identify, analyze and create detailed records of problems that appear during testing such as software defects, bugs, functionality issues and output errors and work directly with software developers to find solutions and develop retesting procedures.
• Track problems, resolutions and bug fixes throughout testing and create a comprehensive database of defects and successful mitigation techniques.
• Create detailed, step-by-step documentation of test procedures for each phase of project as needed to ensure reusability and compliance with standards.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with testers, users, developers and clients to facilitate quick resolution of problems and accurate documentation of successes.
• Design and implement automated testing tools and update tools as needed to ensure currency and accuracy.

Your skills and experience

• Engineering or any other equivalent degree in IT stream. Participation and/or completion in Testing certification programs.
• Experience of Agile development approach and working in teams with cross-functional expertise.
• Experience of working in following technologies:
  • Testing frameworks: Junit, Pytest, Cucumber/Selenium/Cypress/Playwright, automated integration testing, E2E testing
  • Development: Basic Java/Typescript/Javascript – TDD / BDD testing approaches.
  • Advantageous to have knowledge/experience in following: -
    • Oracle DB or other RDBS/SQL/NoSQL (MongoDB)
    • Spring, Spring Boot, Angular frameworks
    • Build/CICD: Maven/Gradle, Sonar, Git/Bitbucket, TeamCity/Jenkins, Docker.
• Soft skills:
  • Help create a culture of learning and continuous improvement within your team and beyond
  • Share skills and knowledge in a wide range for topics relating to software delivery
  • Lead, mentor and teach other junior members
