Join Intel Foundry's Sort and Test Technology Development (STTD) division as a Module Development Engineer and play a critical role in driving innovation and shaping the future of semiconductor manufacturing test technologies. As a Module Development Engineer, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process integration, hardware development, and external vendor ecosystems. Together, we will develop solutions that enable Test of innovative device architectures, optimize production techniques, and advance wafer nodes and packaging technology roadmaps. Your expertise will be integral to solving complex engineering challenges and ensuring Intel's continued leadership in the semiconductor industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of advanced test manufacturing processes, including material selection, tooling design, equipment, and system design.
- Develop and execute feasibility studies through theoretical simulations and/or practical engineering methods to enable expanding test requirements.
- Perform pathfinding activities to explore and innovate process and hardware solutions supporting future manufacturing test needs for components and products.
- Research, analyze, and implement modifications to operating equipment to improve efficiency, optimize production output, and enhance manufacturing techniques for existing products.
- Collaborate with equipment and materials suppliers to develop and implement enabling technologies aligned with Intel's roadmap requirements.
- Monitor and interpret industrial trends in test manufacturing, developing strategies to address future Intel Foundry and customer's test technology needs.
- Utilize Design of Experiments (DOE) principles and statistical analysis to guide engineering decisions and optimize process development.
- Drive disciplined execution of research and development activities, ensuring consistent progress toward project goals.
- Facilitate group problem solving to address technical challenges and develop actionable solutions.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 9+years of experience OR Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience or PhD degree with 4+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related specialized field.
Experience listed above should a combination in the following:
- Analog and Mixed Signal Testing, Circuit Testing, and/or Electrical Characterization techniques.
- Design of Experiments (DOE) principles, Statistical Process Control, and/or data analytics.
- Mechanical design, mechanical testing, and/or test tool development and maintenance.
- Experience with manufacturing process improvement and/or solving complex engineering problems.
- Development & manufacturing in wafer probing, die probing, package testing, reliability stress & screens and/or substrate testing.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $180,770.00-255,200.00 USD
