Job Description:Position Overview
Broadcom is seeking an experienced Senior / Staff NPI Product Engineer to bring our new electronic and RF products from the design phase into high-volume manufacturing.
Candidates with a strong background in RF Testing, characterization, or test development looking to expand their careers into Product Engineering will find this excellent opportunity. This role leverages a deep understanding of RF performance and test data to lead products through manufacturing, troubleshoot issues, improve production yields, and ensure top-notch quality from design through mass production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Product Bring-Up: Lead new products from R&D into mass production. Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve product yield, lower manufacturing costs, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Product Characterization: Leverage RF expertise to develop and implement electrical and RF test strategies for validating and characterizing new products prior to manufacturing release.
- Risk Analysis & Quality: Partner with R&D early in the design phase to anticipate and solve potential manufacturing issues. Define manufacturing risk assessments (such as PFMEA) to ensure a smooth and stable ramp-up to mass production.
- Data-Driven Problem Solving: Utilize data analysis skills, statistical tools, and Six Sigma methodologies to investigate test data, troubleshoot manufacturing bottlenecks, and optimize reliability.
- Continuous Improvement: Connect the dots between product design, test data, and the manufacturing process to continuously improve overall product performance and manufacturability.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 4-8 years of industry experience. A strong background in RF Test Development, Product Characterization, or Product Engineering is highly desired.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret electronic circuit schematics. A strong, working knowledge of RF components is required.
- Proficient in engineering and data analysis tools, including ADS, JMP, and Python.
- Data & Statistical Analysis: Demonstrated expertise in statistical analysis and data science. Application of Six Sigma principles (Green or Black Belt certification) is preferred.
- Advanced Tech: Strong knowledge of machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Transformers) or hands-on experience with LLM agent frameworks (LangChain), RAG architecture, Harness engineering, and vectorization techniques is considered a significant advantage for automating data analysis.
- Soft Skills:
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to translate complex test/engineering data to cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
