The Test Development Engineer III is responsible for providing engineering input to the product development projects assigned including interfacing with the cross functional team consisting of engineering, operations (industrial engineering, production, and material procurement), sourcing, quality, service, and marketing.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain engineering test plans for multiple projects for both New Product Development (NPI) and Sustaining/Production Support, translating product requirements into test acceptance criteria
Define test parameters and inputs for lab personnel
Translate test plan items into executables for the lab personnel to conduct test activities in the Lab Information Management Software (LIMS)
Collaborate with engineering and project management for the creation and maintenance of the test plans associated with NPI, Sustaining/Production Support to ensure project timelines are met
Collaborate with Lab Planning to resolve any conflicts between resources that may arise, and communicate changes to project management
Utilize existing test methods where applicable, and create test methods when needed
Provide engineering and lab leadership regular updates on test plan progress
Foster collaboration between engineering departments and labs to identify new engineering concepts, technologies, techniques, standards and procedures
Document official changes to or creation of new test methods and release through the Change Notification (CN) process
Engage in and support business planning processes, development, and mentoring
Contribute to an organizational culture which encourages innovation, collaboration, excitement/commitment and a sense of urgency toward goals, and continuous improvement
Challenges team members to question the status quo and ensure that all aspects of the design, development and support process are optimal for the market

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Equivalent
5 years of design and/or manufacturing Engineering experience
3-5 years of experience using various test equipment
Familiarity with creating and revising test procedures
Familiarity with lab operations, test planning, and test execution
Experience with information management systems
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
