Role Summary
We are seeking a
highly accomplished Lead QA Automation Engineer to drive the design,
architecture, and implementation of next-generation test automation frameworks
using Playwright and Selenium. This role demands a strategic thinker with deep
technical expertise and proven leadership capabilities to elevate quality
engineering practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect
and implement scalable, maintainable, and reusable automation frameworks
using Playwright and Selenium WebDriver.
- Define and
govern enterprise-wide test automation strategy, standards, and best
practices.
- Lead the
development of robust automation solutions for web, API, and integration
testing using JavaScript and Java.
- Drive
seamless integration of automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Azure
DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Mentor,
guide, and upskill QA engineers in modern automation technologies, design
patterns, and engineering practices.
- Collaborate
closely with solution architects, developers, and product teams to ensure
testability and quality-by-design.
- Establish
and enforce quality gates, KPIs, test coverage metrics, and real-time
reporting dashboards.
- Continuously
evaluate emerging tools, frameworks, and industry trends to optimize
testing efficiency and innovation.
- Champion
shift-left and shift-right testing approaches within Agile/DevOps
ecosystems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8–12 years
of experience in software testing and quality engineering.
- Deep
hands-on expertise in Playwright and Selenium WebDriver.
- Strong
programming skills in JavaScript and Java.
- Proven
experience building automation frameworks from scratch (BDD, hybrid,
data-driven, keyword-driven).
- Strong understanding
of CI/CD integration and DevOps practices (Azure DevOps preferred).
- Demonstrated
experience leading QA teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent
stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to
influence technical decisions.
- Strong
analytical mindset with exceptional problem-solving capabilities.
Good to Have
- Experience
in API automation (Rest Assured, Postman, Karate).
- Knowledge of
performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, k6).
- Exposure to
mobile automation (Appium).
- Familiarity
with AI-driven testing tools and intelligent test automation.
