The Role
We are looking to hire a QA Engineer, this role will see you taking responsibility for ensuring the quality of the system on various components within the platforms. You will conduct QA activities in functional test environments prior to the release of application code into SIT/UAT environments. This opportunity will see you write/execute test cases & scripts and work closely with the development team to resolve identified issues.
To succeed in this role, you will possess a strong foundation in test case design and execution, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, demonstrate expertise in automation frameworks and coding standards, and exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle and testing strategies.
What You will be doing
Conducting: Performing End-to-End system, regression and UAT.
Automation: Has the ability to build on current automation frameworks and implement new scripts within the frameworks, independently running automated regression packs.
Support: Supporting the automation process with improvements to scripts and suggesting areas to improve. Whilst also supporting the Agile testing process, attending daily stand-ups and ownership of individual user stories.
Designing: Design and create test conditions and scripts to address business and technical use cases.
Manual: Has confidence to run and add new scripts to the Manual regression packs independently.
Reporting: Clear reporting of the testing status through test execution.
Maintaining: Maintenance of testing script checklist to ensure this is consistent with new or changed functionality as part of a software release to support the testing activity.
Test Data: Identifies/creates data for different testing phases.
Mentoring: Mentors or trains juniors.
Assisting: Assists Senior QA Engineers with the development of new frameworks.
Defect Tracking: Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate, using JIRA or similar tools/means.
Promote: Helps encourage the forward-thinking nature of the company and team by ensuring they are thinking about new technologies.
What we would like to see from your application
Multilingual Proficiency: Possesses a good knowledge base of various test languages, including C#, Java, JavaScript, etc.
Scripting Expertise: Demonstrates experience in successfully building automation test scripts from scratch.
Independence in Script Execution: Previous experience in running automation scripts independently.
Business Management Acumen: Exhibits a good understanding of managing business expectations by providing accurate estimations and time frames for test automation projects.
Collaborative Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team, fostering collaboration and contributing positively to team dynamics.
